Pumpkin Cam On-line
I was experimenting with a wireless web cam in hopes of doing some
time-lapse photography of my entire pumpkin plant with it. The image
quality is not as good as I had hoped for so instead I've decided to use
it as a "live" web cam. A photo of my pumpkin patch (small as it is)
will be updated every 10 minutes from 6 am to 9 pm (Mountain Daylight
Time zone) during the growing season (or until further notice if I hit
technical snags).
The camera is mounted at the top of an 8 foot pole at the end of my
garden. Strong sunlight causes a lot of glare off the leaves so the
image looks better on cloudy days or else early in the morning and late
afternoon. I'll be experimenting with some filters over the camera lens
to see if I can fix that.
Click on the link below and look for the current web cam photo under the
page title. Who knows, you might see me out there weeding or something
;-)
