We're doing alright, its something you get use to.. I mound my soil and use closures up untill the vine reaches 3or4 ft and then I might protect the plants with some home made hoops of some sort. Just use plenty wide boards to get to your plants untill you can till again. Usually its straightens out and you are wishing for some light rain again. One thing about living this far up nort.. is we get long days and in turn we can catch up real quick. My choices this year are 780 eaton-- 2' vine 937 bobier-- 2' vine 903 holland--1' vine looks good 846 calai-- slow plant 726.5 holland--tremendous start 850.5 hester starting to run 703 klema- I grew a 720 from this one with only 250 leaves I've grown 2 over 700lbs with lates starts so patience is a must, good things will come Wade from Berner Get more from the Web.
