Pumpkins in pots
Mike, I did it by mistake. Last year I got a bargain on seeds if I
bought 5 packets. Among my choices was Atlantic Giant pumpkin, of which
I'd never heard.
One day in mid-July I planted some of the seeds in a white plastic
55-gal drum, some in my wee trailer-park-lot plot. The gophers and moles
had their way w/ the plot punks, but the other was safe from them. I
grew a 17-1/2-pound pumpkin. My husband believes that if I plant one
this year, on time, I can move the weight up considerably. Don't know
that I'll have the time, since I got bit by the AG bug bad, and now I'm
tending a clutch of unruly AG rascals in the ground a mile away.
WARNING: This Could Happen To You!
(I hope that it does, for your sake. Good luck!) Kathie
