Ned I'm also growing the 1048 cox it is growing very
well right now it is about 6 feet long with 2 foot side vines. Really nice
color and big leaves. The weather has been poor here except for the past two
days really notice the plant vigor with sun and highs in the 80's. best of
luck this season mark.

Subject: Cox 1048
Hi List:
The weather has finally turned warm here in
Northeastern Pa. My plants look great and are all starting to
vine. I was fortunate to be able to acquire a few different gardens so
I was able to plant a wide variety of seeds that all of the gracious people
on this list had sent. One of them is the Cox 1048 and I have not heard very
much mention of it. Is anyone else out there growing it. Mine has a 3
ft. vine to date and looks great. I also have a Checkon 875, (thanks
Larry), Rockwell 771; Ciliberto 983; Hester 895.5; Emmons 899;
The Ciliberto and the Cox are in the main patch so if anyone else is growing
these and wants to keep tabs please mail me. Best of luck to everyone
out there. I hope to have a candidate to take to a weigh off
somewhere.
Ned
