How do I find out what my seeds are? I still have the package and handwritten on it is AG 800. Does that mean something? You'll often see seeds (or perhaps plants grown from that seed) referred to as a number and a name, and perhaps a year. The number cooresponds to the weight of the pumpkin that the seed came from, and the name is the name of the grower. Sometimes a year is also quoted after the name of the grower.
So, an 876.5 Lloyd would be a seed (or perhaps a plant grown from that seed) that came from an 876.5 pound pumpkin that "Lloyd" grew. (Lloyd being a surname.) If it was "876.5 Lloyd 00", that would further designate that the pumpkin was grown in the year 2000.
Good luck with this hobby,
