RE: Shade

Kathie,

You hurt our feelings, :), Squash is not a dirty word. I predict the
largest fruit this year will be, dare I say, a squash! Green! (I know it is
a long shot, but you will all look back at this prediction in amazement if
it comes true!)

As far as your shrine, I would build it as soon as your (ahem) pumpkin gets
about basketball sized. If you do happen to get a squash. I would build a
temple a little later. While you want to keep both cool, I believe the
squash will photosynthesize through it's beautiful green skin, so it should
see some sunlight.

How do I know when to build a shrine over my pumpkin to shade it
(assuming I get a pumpkin and not a squa-squa-squa-zucchini)?
