Scimitar and Esfenvalerate

Even where it's not restricted, it can be darned tough to find (like in
Virginia). You can theoretically buy it by the quart for $105 and change,
but your retailer has to order it by the case, and most are reluctant to do
that.
As some others have pointed out, however, Bug-B-Gon with Esfenvalerate is
officially listed as controlling cucumber beetles, squash bugs, and SVB.
And it's less than ten bucks at your friendly, neighborhood Home Depot. If
you try the Bug-B-Gon, doublecheck the active ingredient. There are other
formulations with other active ingredients.
