I had one of the primaries (out of two plants) break crossways 1/2 way through this year. I painted on some Captan, kept it unburied so I could keep an eye on it and it has really taken off. In your case with so many holes I would probably keep them unburied for awhile to see how they are doing and keep with the regular spraying of fungicide going. Since you do have several plants I think you'll be surprised what happens as you stick with it. Glad everything is doing well otherwise. :)
