Re: Wrong Way

Dennis,

Don't panic... you are going to have to force the vine slowly, prop it with some splints ((little T-P's hold it down to the ground every so many inches, you are going to have to play this by 'ear' if you know what I mean.... but I think if you use patience your plant will turn out fine.... and I think you may be okay.

Good luck with the 991 Hunt, I had that seed last year but the plant developed a major stem split (I mean big time split) when it was very young, I left a pumpkin on it all summer, completely neglected and it grew over 400lbs!!!!!, the only thing I did was spray it with fungicide every so often and a spray for Vine Borer...  It's an agressive plant!

Hello List

I have a question! I know if you need to change direction of the main vine you prop it a little at a time. But what if you are a complete moron and plant you plant were it is 180 degrees out? How do I get it to turn 180 degrees? This plant is the Hunt 991 that I bought on auction for 56.00 and I don’t want to lose it
