Hey Dennis sounds like were in the same boat,I put one of my plants in before it had a true leaf,now i have 5 ft. to make the turn,Heck i'll have 5 or 6 ft of vine before i pass the stump.I pin mine vines down with plastic coat hangers every 18 inchs or so.John G.
