I would cull anything until both plants in a plot are on the ground facing
the right direction with at least 4 ft. main vine.
I plant mine 3-4 ft apart and don't cull until mains are 6-8 ft long.

hmmm thinking to myself.... culling a plant that's produced 7 over 1000lbs
due only too it's a little slower....don't think so
