Dear Pumpkin People,
I germinated my plants April 22nd and put them in the ground
the first week of may in a cloche. I am having a contest with a coworker,
and he did the same.
My plants are beautiful-big, strong and healthy. But,
his are vining and my aren't. All the pumpkin literature says the fruit
needs to be set the first week of July, at least 10 feet out the vine.
Should I be worried that my plant aren't yet vining? Can
I encourage them in any way? How fast will they grow?
Any help would be appreciated.
