Subject: Tough decisions, Advice needed...

Pumpkin Gurus:

I'm pushing the limit and trying to grow 2 pumpkins in my back yard patch this year - so it is time to prune...

I my first site I have the 990 Hebb (616 Corkum x 780 Eaton) and 996.5 Emmons (940 Mombert x (968 Sproule & self)) going - this appears to be a dead heat, the Hebb burst through the soil first, but the Emmons caught up - nothing spectacular about either plant.  Which should I keep???

I my other site I have the famous 723 Bobier going up against the 968 Hester (800 Edwards x 815 Anderson) - the Bobier burst through the soil first, but the Hester has caught up and lapped it - nice thick stem to be, and large, healthy leaves - it is my best looking plant of the 4, the clear early winner...  Nothing spectacular at all about the Bobier.  One has to go - so I either turf my best, healthiest, strongest, fastest plant (the Hester) or I pull up a 723 Bobier - don't know if I am man enough to do that...

What should I do? Any advice is appreciated...

Thanks,

Kevin
