RE: Fertilizer for Pumpkins

I am VERY new to this, but as much as I have read, it would seem that
Compost Tea would be the best fertilizer bar none.
Any other thoughts?

There has been so much written and said about how to fertilize that
there is
clearly no concensus on how to go about it. Should you spray Maxicrop or

Neptune's Harvest or Miricle Grow or Spray-N-Grow on the leaves and when
and
how often and how much and what should you add to the soil etc. etc. I
believe that the thing to do is get your soil up to top levels at the
beginning of the season with adequate organic matter in the soil as well
and
then use foliar feed depending on how the color of the new growth is.
Yellow
needs nitrogen and dark green or purple hold off and if looks like grass
in
the spring perfect. Too much and too little are no good. When is enough
enough? Thoughts???
