and all the others who have given me tips.
I will stop the late afternoon watering and attempt to shade protect or mist the plants on these intense days of heat...for i have lost 4 or five large leaves to severe sun burn...
I am very interested in the patch tours or southern california.

Hope you have fixed your problem by now but if you haven't try the mini misters I would defiantly use shade cloth.. BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT !!!!!!!! STOP WATERING AT NIGHT !!!!!!!  you will be shut down by powdery mildew in July if you don't. Believe me !!! Protect your leaves in every way and GOOD LUCK BUDDY. OH we hare having a patch tour in August for the Southern, CA growers let us know if you are interested !!! TAKE CARE ......
