Re: Flat vine vs. round vines?

Tell Drew he can add one more data point to his sample. Early indications
are my 1020 is going flat.

I might have to agree with that, these vines are very big at this stage of
the game, and very heavy looking,... from what 'others' have stated they
had
smaller leaves, but these vines are all producing huge leaves at such a
young age. I have been growing AG's now for 6 years and these plants are
right up there with my prior years plants (for leaf size and agressive
growing habit).

I am concerned with my 1020 Papas, the vine is so heavy and thick that it
is
scarey, and it is growing up to the sky at this point, I have it propped up
right now and I am in the process of trying to move it down to the ground
(slowly).

I had sent Andrew an email and he stated that the 1020 came from a flat
vine
plant and that all the offspring of the 1020 that he knows of are producing
a flat vine.

I'll have to hope for the best since 3 out of the 4 of my plants are all
flat type vines. Funny, in prior years I had never even known of this flat
vine situation.

I had a flat-viner this year. It had been planted just
one foot from another plant (nearly identical soil). The
flat vining plant had leaves about half the size of the
neighboring plant. I culled it a few days ago. All along
my intention was to cull one of these two plants.

I have pictures of the full biopsy ;-) at:
