Re: Flat vine vs. round vines?
Tom,
The vines (plain and simple) look like two to three vines merged together
and were squared of (or more of a rectgangle). I haven't really looked at
all the leaf developments that you described. The vine is producing huge
leaves and is growing in leaps and bounds... According to Andrew Papez the
1020 came from a square vine and the offspring of the 1020 have all been
square. But, one other grower from Massachusetts stated that his 1020 is a
normal vine.
My main concern is that this plant is extremely 'heavy' in it's growth
habits, so I am hoping when I finally get it down to the ground that it will
not break.... supposedly what others have been saying the 'flat' vines are
not as flexible.
