Re: My Papez 1020 Vine Description

George, from what you describe, your 1020 Papez should be okay....I have a different type vine, it looks like 2 1/2 vines merged together right near the base (about 1 foot out from the base) and are growing out now this is the main vine portion.  I am not sure how it is going to do, if I run into problems, I will use it as a pollinator.  This is my first 'flat' vine experience so it will be a wait and see 'game' for me this year to see what happens.

Thanks,

David

Subject: My Papez 1020 Vine Description

The vine has a slightly flattened top but other wise is a normal shape.  On the other hand the leaf junctions are not normal.  "Some" have two leaves, two tendrils and one of what should be a side vine grows straight up in the air.  Other joints are normal and I remove the little vines growing straight up on the strange junctions.  My thinking as to what is a flat or ribbon vine looks like a heavy piece of ribbon up to 6 or 8" wide and often twists and turns.
