I'd keep them both and do some creative vine design with the space you have to work with.  Worked for Geneva !

I have an Emmons 996.5 that has identical main vines coming out right at the stump. They are of equal length and thickness. What are the pros and cons of keeping both vines. I have toyed with the idea of cutting one off, but can't seem to bring myself to do it. The square footage allowed for this plant is the smallest in my patch. I had planned on growing this plant in the flag pattern. Now I am not sure what i am going to do with it but am considering several ideas.

Any suggestions would be welcome.
