New to the list and to pumpkin growing a few questions

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this list and to Pumpkin growing, so obviously I have a few
questions. I started some seeds indoors on a heat mat in 3 and 4 inch jiffy
pots. The first 3 I planted have all germinated, and plants have grown to
about 5 or 6 inches. They have 2 leaves right now and a third is starting.
First, should they be off the heat mat at this point? How long should I have
them under the lights, should I let them sleep at night? When should I start
them outside? (I live in Seattle Washington 60-70 degree days right now soon
to get hotter) I am also confused about watering, it seems to be a fine line
between watering too much and not enough. Any tips? I also have about 10
plants I started a few days later that are starting to pop out of the soil. I
have lost a couple seeds to fungus, am I past the danger point now with these
plants and the larger ones? I don't want to bombard the group with too many
questions right now, so I'll leave it at that. But I am glad to find this
group. Ever since I was small I have always wanted to grow giant pumpkins. I
just bought my first house with lots of property so now I have the resources
to do it. I look forward to speaking more with you all.
