Hey Bill don't feel to bad. after putting my plants out on April 8th and
keeping them alive through hail snow and high winds on the 19th and 20th of
May the temp dropped to 200, with hot water bottles ground heat cables
cloches
and blankets I lost 2 pumpkins and a squash, it knocked my 2 largest plants
  back at least a month.
By the 23rd the temps went to high 40's at night and mid 80's during the
day
now we are worried about heat stress!! How screwy can this weather get?? Go
  figure.

  Grow-em-HUGE!!

White Lake, Michigan (40 miles Northwest of Detroit) We had frost on the
pumpkins this morning. At 6:00 AM it was 37 degrees and had frost in
    pocktets.
I believe this is the first of June! What a picture! Me in my robe with a
    water hose
spraying the gardens down to melt any frost before the sun hits it...
Now think of what my neighbor thought after 3 days of rain, that idiot is
  out
    there
watering that damn garden in his robe!
Get up now and check. Good Luck
    Bill
