split stem??

Hello all



 I have a split stem on one of my plants. It is split right at the base at
soil level, otherwise it is doing fine. Its about two feet long and starting
to really take off. I think it may of split when it finally leaned over it
was growing straight up for awhile.  Should I just bury it and hope for the
best?? Any suggestions??
