Hi everyone!
I just saw the Melon Man on HGTV's show about giant vegetables and fruits and
I am so inspired! Now my husband wants to try planting those giant peppers in
the garden next year.
Anyway, this is my first attempt at raising the Giant Pumpkin. I have several
plants started in 4 inch and 2 inch peat pots. The biggest plants are in the
4 inch peat pots.
Can you all tell me if this sounds right?
1) I'm going to plant the two biggest plants
2) To prepare the soil, I'm going to rototill in 3 bags of manure.
3) Should I make a seperate hill for each plant, or put them both in the same
hill?
4) Before planting, cover the hill in weed block.
5) Fertalize with miracle grow?
6) At this point, do they need a shelter over them?
7) How much room should I plan on having two vines take up?
Thanks for your help and expertise!
