Monster Pumpkin Challenge

Calling all growers (especially UK)

things are hotting up with the organisation of our contest. We plan to make
it a BIG event. I hope all serious growers in the UK will enter and
more!! even if you only get a 150lber, you can still win a prize!

I'm prepared to completely waive the entry fee for anyone that mentions this
post to this list - just send
the completed entry forms/your details so i can send you some
earthworks products and we can correspond nearer the event. (i can't send
these for free to US due to cost)

things that have changed / we will be doing are:

We should be getting a celebrity to present the prizes (a gardening related
one from TV) - event should be in national press and on TV. and everyone with
their pumpkins!

Prize levels will probably be increasing - (something like double what they
currently are/#1000 min for 1st prize), although this is still being
discussed.
If we get good entries and really make this an event then the prizes will
definitely go up.
If people with pumpkins of good size have trouble with transport we would be
able to carry this cost for some.
I hope someone is growing a record breaker out their (also, I'm not entering
as i will be assisting with judging etc). I hope their are some UK/European
growers on the list that want to enter an make this a great event. (we also
have a few other surprises in store, so get your entry in ASAP.
