Re: Secondary vines


About average of 15-16", 12-24" range. on each side. I like them about every
18-24" for room and air exchange between vines and room for the leaves so
they're not crowded. If they're too close leaves try to get higher than
neighboring leaves and get a little spindly. I often let two secondaries in
a row grow and prune off the next. So therefore two vines and prune every
third one. I place a walking board on the perimeter of the plant and in the
every third vine space.  Don
