Re: Big Pumpkin/Small Pot

Thank you. Glad to here it is possible to produce a fruit for a potted giant.. We shall see.
I have a spot of land already with plants growing, this was just a left over plant that I did not have room for. The pot plant is actually a seed form a my first pumpkin that was over 500#... I was so proud I kept the seeds.
  :)

  Hi, Ben!
I did it in 2000. I had never heard of giant pumpkins but the seeds were on
sale (5 percent off). I was so proud of the resulting 17-pounder that I
showed my neighbor, and he invited me to meet his father-in-law - Mr Ray
Barenchi - who had a 977-pounder in his backyard.
The rest is history.
May you find yourself a mentor and a patch of real dirt somewhere, and we'll
look for your name atop the charts one of these days.
Best wishes!

where the weighoff now pays $1000 to the winner. Y'all come on over.
