Re: Pollination window.

Joe is correct...you want to at least pollinate in that window(July 1st
-15th)....if you are in a cool climate...you might consider pollinatingB June
20th and beyond...normally takes about 60 days from sprout to female bloom.B
Todays AG seem to grow well into the 90 day mark from pollination...old
days...60 was pretty much the max...I start mine in MN on April 15th...which
means normally I can start pollinating on June 15th...but more vital...is
setting a fruitB in the magic window of 12-16ft down the MV...so this gives me
upto 2 weeks to get them set before July 1st...which in MN...is getting close
to the end of where a big pumpkin will come with our very cool late Aug
nights.
Just some food for thought.

Subject: Pollination window.

My plants have been in the ground for about 2 weeks, know that my main needs
o be about 10 to 12 feet long. If I want to take a pumpkin to the county
air in Mid-September and a pumpkin to a weigh off in early October, what is
y pollination window?
rying to plan a vacation.
