Liquid fence works for me. If deer taste a vine sprayed with liquid fence, they do not come back. Liquid fence also works for sweet corn, sunflowers, beets, hosta, or whatever they like to eat. My patch is out of town and where there are plenty of deer. I do not have problems with deer eating any of my garden plants if they are sprayed.

Deer chew off the tender young growing tips. at night. Try a shotgun. Short of that, use liquid fence, or garlic sprays. These are my two favorite weapons for deer and rabbits. You can also see some deer repellent ideas at: _http://www.gardenersnet.com/atoz/deer.htm_ (http://www.gardenersnet.com/atoz/deer.htm)Bob Matthews pumpkinnook.com ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Pumpkin-growing archives: http://www.hort.net/lists/pumpkins/ To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE PUMPKINS
