If I could be so bold, I would also suggest starting MUCH earlier. This would give you time to adjust when things don't go as planned.
As an example, I started a full two months ago, and now my plants are about 10 feet long. Yes, it takes a lot of effort to do that in a cold spring, but we're also going to freeze again in early September. You gotta make hay while the sun shines!
