RE: is it to late to start again?

I started Blue Hubbards two weeks ago because the weather caused damping off
of my first planting. My vines are 5 feet long today! It can be done. You
may not break any records ( I haven't in 25 years ) but it is all about
watching these amazing plants grow and having FUN. Unless of course, your
income depends on your harvest. In that case you need a real good sense of
humor.

Like our friend losing her seedlings, I've had a disastrous year so far. I
think I'll go ahead and try again now. I've got a couple old seeds left,
will see if they will germinate. I might be able to get another 115 days,
might have something for Halloween. Who knows, if it still keeps growing,
will let it go until frost. In the south, we really don't know when that
will be. If I get a big one, I'll call the local Extension office to see
about official weights and all that. Fingers crossed.
