Apparently it wasn't the dreaded SVBs.  The plant looks perfect this morning. 
I don't understand.  It looked fine, I watered it, an hour later it was
dying.  It looked worse 6 hours later, this morning it's fine.  And yesterday
was the coolest day we've had for almost a week, only in the low to mid 90's,
where we've had 100+ for several days in a row.
