Hey gang. I have had a really bad start to the growing season and need some
help. I transplanted two plants on May 25. I've been trying to train them
to
vine. This morning I snapped the vine on my best plant. I pushed it back
together and sprayed with Dacinol. I checked it this evening and it looked
fine, no wilting, etc. Can I salvage this plant? I know this is way out
there,
but has anyone ever used super glue to repair a break this early in the
season?
Can I wrap it with something? Will it heal itself??
On June 7, I planted my 3rd plant. I just realized this morning that I
planted
it 90 degrees in he opposite direction. I am planning on using bamboo
sticks to
GENTLY move the vine to the correct direction.
I have two spares, but they have been in the pots since May 27. I re-potted
them into larger pots today but am not sure if they will take. I made up
the
difference in soil capacity using soil from the patch but it was a bit wet.
I
also started another seed today that I know will do good since I used one
from
the same plant last year.
The lack of attention came from a bout of pneumonia followed three weeks
later
by multiple visits to the doctor and ER for a torn/strained chest muscle. I
am
now only feeling up tp spending time outside without pain.
