Ok. Behind the 8 ball again. I have caught over 20 SVB's so far in my trap. I
have been ill and not up to speed and may have to slow down again since the pain
is back. I have spent time rototilling the garden twice because of the massive
amount of weeds. By the time I get to raking up the weeds, they have re-rooted
and have started growing again. As someone recently told me - never a dull
moment around my house.

Deb,
I dust my transplants the minute I put them out in May. I use fungicide
shortly thereafter. This spring was cool and WET. That is a sign to put the
fungicide to them. I use a regular schedule of pesticide from the first part
of June until at least Aug. 1.
I use copper fungicide and Captan. Use Sevin dust early for cuke beetles. I
then switch to Triazicide and Ortho Max for SVB.

We have had a hellish spring. Two of my plants are starting now. I was
wondering when I start proactive pest/insect control and disease control.
Last
year I was playing catch up and I want to start early this year. When do
you
start and what do you use this time of year?
Debbie
