Mike & Pumpkins!
My early plant "Hue" which was actually a test plant I decided to keep as
she exhibited outstanding vigor, I started the end of Feb. and set her
in the ground the first week of March. Hue was born from seed given to me
by Tim Aker in Virginia and has a main vine out 12 ft. with 7 pumpkins set,
two are the size of soft balls. I can only bury the first 4 1/2 ft. of vine
due to the close proximity of the house (frost protection). Hue is
currently across the walkway with side vines growing over the front lawn
and has a main vine rapidly moving down the driveway. What the heck, save
the pumpkin, kill the lawn, I'll park the cars in the street!
