Hi Judy&Pumpkins!

That's Dear Andy, I think Dear Abby may be copyrighted!

I am sorry to here of your delay for a year due to bad weather!

George Brooks, if your out their, suggests keeping seeds in the freezer,
George may have some additional comments on exact technique.

What I have done with my (dried seed) is place them in black film
containers, place a packet of silica gel in each film container to absorb
any moisture, then place the film container in a hermetically sealed jar
with a large silica gel pack. They are stored in a refrigerator just above
freezing, although I think I will move them to the freezer as George
recommends!

The silica gel should be changed once every 8 to 12 months and may be
rejuvenated by placing in the oven on a cookie sheet at 250 for 24 hrs.
Some growers use new silica packs every 6 to 7 months.

In talking with one of our local growers, he conveyed to me, he along with
several other growers this year received and planted seed which had been
frozen since 1991, all plants germinated rapidly and with great vigor!

Hope this helps!
Dear Andy!
