HELP!!!

Hi 
I have some beautiful plants in the ground and growing.  I also have a
vegetable garden taking off.  The problem is that in the past week I have
found holes, small and scattered over the leaves almost like something tore
them,  chewed in all the leaves of my vegetables(pumpkins, cucumbers,
melons, squash) and some of the flowers I grow as well.  I think it may be
grasshoppers, although I am not sure.  I have been out with my flashlight at
night and have inspected the plants at intervals during the day and never
find anything, no aphids, no beatles, no nothing. Otherwise all the plants
and vines seem very healthy.  I sprayed them all with Rotenone powder the
other day and am waiting to see if that shows any results.  Does anyone have
any ideas?...and what do I do to stop these pests?
