Re: Cucumber Beetles

Blair,

If you look at Dans' Pumpkin Page, under disease, towards the bottom of the
page there are two very good pictures of the different types of Cucumber
Beetles.

They like to chew little holes in the leafs and are known for carrying
Bacterium Wilt, which there are also pictures of on Dans' page.

Sevin or Diazanon works well on cukes. Last year I put off spraying on my
prizewinners, I finally broke down and had to spray as they were out of
control.

My pumpkin patch looked like somebody had walked through it with a shotgun
blasting away at the plants!
