Hi,
I'm a first time grower fortunate to have a 1006 plant. The leaves are
big and main is really not thick enough yet to support them
I am a bit behind (referring to putting it in the ground June) I'm alot
behind and greener than my leaves compared to the experts out there. I
appreciate whatever help I receive from all of you. Should the vine
shoot straight up and then arch down to the soil. That is what mine
is doing if this is not right then it means I should have planted deeper
so the main vine would be on the dirt after planting. From pictures
I've seen the vine is up a bit coming out of the dirt
so when I planted I sort of built the mound under the first placed
it started down to give it some support.
One of the stems on the main (and only) is bent or pinched
this pinched part is on the stem between the main and the leaf. Should I
put some of that captan paste on it?
I am even having a hard time getting all the supplies we need to grow
the big one.. Right now I 'm using miracle grow once a week. Should I
be giving it more than once a week? When
do I use the Peters 20-20-20 that everyone seems to tout? And God
I am having a hard time getting that. The distributor of this product
has changed and the product is scarce. Anyone know of a
source? Where preytell do you find a row cover???
Lastly To use the 11 36 29 (mum mix) you have to be a commercial
grower to get it Any suggestions and comments are welcome.
Teri
