At the risk of starting a furor I would like to say the following.
In spite of all the mention of Seven in fighting Squash Vine Borer around our
group, Seven is not a listed insecticide for this pest. What this means is,
it is not fully tested for effectiveness and technically it is illegal to use
it for this purpose. Though you could say you were spraying for Cuke
Beetles, which it is listed for. Mathoxychlor 50W is a listed control in many
areas but may vary from state to state. You must check the label in the
state you are using it in. With all the work we put into the growing of
these monsters I want to use a product that is tested to give the best
results. Don’t forget to use a spreader sticker with the application of an
insecticide.
There I said it……don’t throw anything at me!
