We have the same problem with swirling winds and this is what I did last
year which seemed to solve the problem of vines being moved around by
mothernature. I took LaRue's advice and bury the vine if possible, but some
of them just won't limber up enough to lay that deep and those get mounded.
However I use chop sticks or bamboo poles and criss cross at the leaf axils
and don't remove them until very late in the season when the root systems
are well established . Today I was trenching, covering , or mounding and
"chopsticking. UMMM!
That gives me an idea for dinner, (stir fry) unless hubby will do the
task while I sing to the plants and watch for cuke beetles . I won't have
the dust buster in hand though. Starting to get paranoid that someone may
commit me to the psych ward. I don't sing either.
This mailing list is the best! Educational and entertaining. Still
laughing about the shopvac sucking up the slugs. The sound effects were
great Eric!
