Brock, you were right. The next day after removing the cover off my
first hill, we had a severe thunderstorm. My vine split about 6 to 8
inches about 18 inches from the base. I made a Captan mixture and
poured it over the split area and then buried the vine. Will this
Captan mixture hurt the plant by entering the open area in the vine? I
got some in there and was afraid to try to get it out. The split went
along the grain of the vine and opened the hollow area about 6-8 inches
in length.
