I have a couple more questions about these little %#!@s

-How long into the season do they last?

-If they eat a large chunk out of a leaf, is it best to remove that 
leaf, or let it be?

-Do plants recover if 50% of the leaves are eaten.

-Is it a sign of mental illness if I really (and I mean REALLY) enjoy 
killing them?

I have been applying Sevin, but after it rains they attack, 
and my plants are out in the country, and I can't get there until 
after work.  My luck has been that it will stop raining, and there 
will be 8 hours before I can get there to re-apply.  They do quite a 
bit of damage in that time.
