Yes, but ducks do not. A few ducks wandering in your garden once your
plants have safely germinated will rid you of slugs and all other manner
of insect beast. They leave valuable "fertilizer" and contrary to popular
belief, ducks do not have to have water. Your garden should be fenced
when you have ducks or at least your yard. If there are foxes in the
area, well then you must put the ducks in their coop at night.
