Around the time I posted my update last night the overnight low was
forecast as +6 Celcius. Just before going to bed I rechecked and found
a frost warning and a low of zero plus a chance of snow. AUGH! I
dressed and ran out to the garden with tarps and my heater to cover the
plant. It doesn't look pretty but it saved the plant. A fresh photo of
the covering is on my web site for those interested.

tonight so it stays covered until the frost hazard is over.
