O.K., actually I have 2 questions!

First, can anyone tell me what the overall world record was for biggest
pumpkin? I heard it went well over 1000 pounds, yet someone said that the
record breaker for last year was only 947 pounds or so! I am confused. Can
anyone explain this?!

Second, what would generally be considered the BEST seed stock for this year,
with the MOST potential for producing the world record breaker? I have heard
"977", "1006 cross with 947", etc.
Also, what is the best way to obtain the seeds?! Dill and P & P both sell
"authenticated", "verified" seeds, so does that mean they are better in any
way, or is it better to get seeds from some others, (like you guys), who have
grown and crossed different stocks?

Please write back! Thanks!

Go to http://www.athenet.net/~dang and you will find a wealth of
information. To my knowledge the 700+ on those seeds means that they
are from a pumpkin that was over that size. The current world record
is 1061 pounds. The seeds can be ordered from howard dill or given
to you by another grower. Hope that helps.
