As of the 29th of June,
Two main plants growing back to back in the same hill, Christmas tree
formation, germinated April 27th, in the patch May 4th.
Castellucci 682.4, main vine 26 feet, 35 feet across both secondaries.
Three pumpkins on main vine, at 13 1/2 feet,(21 inch cir. pollinated
June 21st), at 16 1/2 feet, (ll inch cir.), and at 19 feet, (6 inch
cir.). A few small ones on secondaries.
Castellucci 733, main vine 21 feet, 30 feet across both secondaries.
Pumpkin on main vine at 11 feet, ( 22 inches in cir., pollenated June
21st), and two small ones at 14 and l9 feet, (too early to tell whether
they are set.)
Backup
Castellucci 743.2, an agressive but hard to manage plant with vines
going straight up. I have already cut one third of the plant away to
make room for the 733. Just a vine borer decoy at this point. No fruit
set.
Now to keep it all together until October.
