There IS an organic way to control soil pests, sow bugs, pill bugs, borers,
root maggots, cucumber beetle larvae, and plenty of others. Use beneficial
nematodes! You can buy them from a lot of garden centers and organic
suppliers. They are beneficial parasitic nematodes which seek out and attack
the soil pests. They enter into them and produce toxins, then hatch out of
their dead bodies to go find some more! They work FASTER than most other
methods, within 48 hours or less, and are completely harmless to ALL
beneficial insects, microorganisms, and worms, etc.
As for fungus, try sulfer or copper.
