Pumpkinguy and list;
Thank You for your reply on yellow leaves. I've had no
further problem with them. However, in the 90 degree weather of the last few
days some of the newer leaves burned in the strong sun. I thought it was from
spraying with a fung.a few days earlier but this proved to not be the case.
Two other AG growers in town had the same things happen to their plants on
the same days, and they did not spray.
Some of my plants maybe flat vined. In question are the 937 and 844
Mombert. Also the 1056 Stellplug. Will keep group informed on this. The 937
and 844 are from the same plant. My best leaves are 21 inches across! This is
on my 597 plant of last year and the 1056 and 937 also. Biggest I've ever
grown. This plants were started on 4-24-99.
Cucumber beetles are everywhere, sprayed tonight with seven. Also went
out last night with flashlight and pinched them off. This really works well.
The light seems to blind them and they stay put making it easy to pinch them
off.
Most of my plants are vining, they are just leaning over and touching
ground. Removed all greenhouses today. My early plant has at least 7 female
flowers started. May have to self this plant if no male flowers are ready on
my other plants.
Alan R. PS Remember It ain't over till Wayne puts his TUX on!!!
