Rocky...thanks for the reply.Urban?from the looks of your pictures from last
year you live on the Ponderosa !!!I live on a 60 x 100 plot with a house,a
two car garage(attached),a porch,ashed,a swingset,a 12x8 raised planter,a
deck,and a 10x10 patio.Noy much room here for pumpkins.(20x40
plot).........whenever I hear about these guys with 5-6-7-12 plants in 1200
sqs each I dream.......I will let the 1092 run for a while...till it hits the
879*.You will be the second to know if the 879* looks like squash or
pumpkin...are you hoping for pumpkin?I'm hoping for squash...I'm in bi-weekly
contact with Barb following the progress and color of hers as she is the only
one I know of at fruit set stage with the 879*.
My problem is that one of the two will go..and the 1092 is outpacing the 879*
in length and looks(and obviously leaf count). My other problem right now
taking me from proper maintenance of the punkies is my wife lost here
1.25carat diamond off her engagement ring on th lawn
somewhere.......somewhere near the swingset..a very time consuming and
painstaking anthropological dig is underway !!!!I guess if I lived on a two
acre spread I'd really be in trouble!......Good luck,I'll keeep you
posted..let me know if anything changes!...Glenn
