JOHN--I'D CONTACT CRAIG WEIR WHO GREW THE 1090 UOW FROM THE 490.
HE'S GROWING THE 490 AGAIN AND COULD PROBABLY TELL YOU HOW THE 490
PLANT TYPICALLY LOOKS--THAT IS, HE COULD TELL YOU IF THAT PLANT IS
ONE OF THOSE THAT STAYS SMALLISH BUT STILL HAS THE ABILITY TO PRODUCE
HUGE FRUIT. CRAIG'S ADDRESS IS LISTED IN DON LANGEVIN'S BOOK.
I'M PLANNING ON GROWING THE 490 NEXT YEAR, BY THE WAY.
I have a dilemma that I must solve here in the next few days. I have a
Donkers 490 at 4 feet of vine next to a Lloyd 906.5 at 8 feet of vine and I
need to know which one to keep. They both look very healthy and would be
crossed with a Mombert 937 when the time comes. It is the only 490 I have
left and I still have 5 906.5 seeds. What would you do?
Thanks for the input
